VideoConference Common Scenes in 3D

Description

The ViCoCoS-3D database provides five high-quality stereoscopic video sequences simulating various typical videoconferencing scenarios. A comprehensive characterization of the sequences (e.g., spatial, temporal, and depth indicators) is also provided. Currently, the five sequences are provided without audio, since they are addressed to study visual issues related to 3D videoconferencing.

Applications:

  • Developing robust systems for delivering videoconferencing content, such as coding (e.g., region of interest, etc.) and transmission (e.g., FEC protection, traffic shaping, etc.) techniques based on perceptual models.

Database Generation:

  • Number of videos: 5
  • Camera: Sony PMW-TD300
  • Resolution: 1920x1080 per view
  • Framerate: 25 fps
  • Format: Raw yuv420p
  • Depth maps (from stereoviews)
